Introduction
I read the Kindle edition of this book. It definitely is a great read provided you execute the miracle morning routine mentioned in the book. Hats off to this author. He has gone through so much mental, physical, emotional tribulations, and financial debts at such a young age and still managed to somehow beat all odds and be successful.
Where most of us would have just cursed our fate or blamed someone else for our misery, and just given up when we hit rock bottom. The author Hal didn't, he understood something that most of us don't. He knew there is no point in dwelling on or feeling bad about the things that we can't change or control. But suggests focusing on adding value and turning any adversity into an advantage.
Main Takeaways
The trials and tribulations that we go through are just temporary pains not to be mistaken as our fate. In life, these pressures are not going to be any less. The bigger the dream, the bigger the sacrifice.
Once you have decided to wake up early, when the alarm goes off, take a deep breath and move your body. Commit to your goals and dreams. Do not rebel and resist by hitting the snooze button. Doing that will only program your subconscious mind to not follow through the things you intended to do.
The author says most of us have wired ourselves to merely surviving life. This mentality of avoiding pain and resisting life is what causes us to shrink and not grow. You need a morning routine to pursue and live life with a high purpose and calling.
Do what's right not what's easy. This is the author's morning wake-up mantra when his thoughts resist and are not in alignment with his intention and goals. He reminds himself to do what is right and quietens his mind to obey rather than letting his mind command him what to do.
This is an ongoing debate, some say it takes 21 days to form a habit, others say it takes 66 days the author Hal wants us to meet in the middle and says it takes 30 days. Whatever is your sweet spot is something you have to find out for yourself. You have the ability to change - or create - anything in your life.
Begin each day with extraordinary levels of discipline. The initial ten days will feel unbearable, followed by the next ten days feeling uncomfortable, don't give up yet for what follows next is phase three the unstoppable stage where the actual transformation occurs.
The 30-day Morning Routine Challenge
Phase 1 (Day 1 - 10) - The Unbearable Stage
Phase 2 (Day 11 - 20) - The Uncomfortable Stage
Phase 3 (Day 21 - 30) - The Unstoppable Stage
You're hooked! Don't break the chain now that your subconscious mind has adjusted to this new habit. Continue persistently, more determined than before and you'll experience true freedom. Free from your fears, self-doubt, and self-imposed limitations. Try it now and see it for yourself.
Ideas and Suggestions
Like any self-help book, the basic premise is that the reader makes an earnest effort to inculcate the ideas and suggestions in order to improve and change their life. Similarly, this book is no different it suggests the following:
The author Hal has shared in chapters 5, 6, 7, and 10 his snooze-proof strategies, six life S.A.V.E.R.S, six-minute miracle morning routine, and 30-day challenge that will help anyone who is willing to lead an extraordinary life.
He suggests establishing an early morning routine where you wake up intentionally to begin your first hour consciously. Spending time in meditation, prayer, reading affirmations, being grateful, visualizing, or looking at your vision board, exercising moving your body, reading inspirational books, and journaling.
Start your Day 1 of The Morning Miracle from tomorrow itself. Don't wait for the week, month, or year to end and then start. Start preparing today itself, to begin your morning routine A.S.A.P. Do them even on weekends, without breaking the chain. Just do it, make it part of your daily routine.
